Self Harm Awareness Bootcamp
Self-Harm Awareness Bootcamp- A Guided Support Resource for Parents, Carers & Professionals
Our Self-Harm Awareness Bootcamp is a self-paced, professionally-led video course designed to support parents, carers, and professionals in understanding and responding to self-harm in children and young people.
Developed by experienced child mental health practitioners, this bootcamp offers clear, compassionate guidance for those supporting a child who may be self-harming. It is not a replacement for therapy, but an informed starting point for anyone wanting to better understand, support safely, and reduce risk while waiting for face-to-face intervention.
Through a series of accessible, bite-sized sessions available for 3 months, this bootcamp explores what self-harm is, why it happens, and how you can respond in supportive and safe ways. You’ll gain practical strategies, evidence-based skills, and confidence in recognising signs, challenging myths, and building supportive plans alongside young people.
