“Through helping families understand sensory connection, reconnect, regulate, and thrive, We're closing the gap between need and support for Child Wellbeing”

Neurodivergent Specialist Sensory Programme

Regulate, Connect, Thrive , A Trauma-Informed Approach to Wellbeing

At Child Wellbeing Tools, we’re proud to present Neuro Connects 6-week Sensory Group Work Programme for parents, a nurturing, evidence-informed course, delivered online so accessible for all locations, designed to help children and their caregivers understand themselves and their sensory world, support emotional regulation, and build connected relationships.

Running for Approx 2 hours per week, online sessions combines neuroscience, sensory activities, therapeutic play, and relationship-focused approaches to support in parenting children who may have experienced trauma, attachment difficulties, or neurodevelopmental differences.

We are mindful that neurodivergent parents and carers also need a safe space to explore their own neurodivergent profile, particularly if late when identified or diagnosed

This group programme offers:

  • A Focus on Regulation: Helping children and their caregivers identify their sensory profile, and what benefits the whole family.

  • Sensory-Based Support: Using safe and structured sensory experiences (movement, touch, sound) to support emotional awareness, and coregulation leading to self-regulation.

  • Relational Approaches: Caregivers and key adults are supported to build attuned relationships through positive, co-regulated interaction.

  • A Safe Group Setting: Parents and carers benefit from shared experiences, connection with others, and opportunities to observe and learn within a supportive space.

  • Therapeutic Techniques: Integrating elements of sensory integration, Theraplay (add trademark) and narrative work informed by DDP, all tailored to each family’s unique needs.

  • Home Practice: Resources and reflective tools for continued growth and support beyond the sessions.

This programme is ideal for families seeking trauma-informed, neuroaffirming support and is delivered by specialists with experience in both clinical and lived family contexts.
