“I’m helping to close the gap between need and support for child wellbeing by creating books that build resilient kids”

My Brain Books

At Child Wellbeing Tools, we’re proud to partner with Orlanda, a passionate voice in children’s mental health and wellbeing. Based in Sydney, Australia, Orlanda is a mother of two, a qualified psychologist, and a former primary school teacher with over a decade of experience supporting children’s development in real-world classrooms.

What sets Orlanda apart is not just her academic and professional background, but her deeply personal journey with anxiety and depression. These lived experiences have given her powerful insight into the tools and strategies that genuinely help children—and their grown-ups—navigate emotional challenges.

In 2024, Orlanda launched the My Brain Book Series, a beautifully written and illustrated collection of books designed to help children understand and manage their emotions. These evidence-based, child-friendly resources are used by parents, schools, therapists, and professionals around the world to support children with a range of needs, including Anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and emotional regulation challenges. The books are also a valuable resource for neurotypical children, helping to build emotional intelligence from a young age.

The feedback has been overwhelming—parents, educators, and mental health professionals alike have shared heartfelt testimonials about how the My Brain Books have empowered children to talk about their feelings, build confidence, and develop lifelong coping skills.

Due to Orlanda’s inspiring vision and unwavering commitment to improving access to mental health support, Child Wellbeing Tools is excited to collaborate with her to help close the gap in accessible, relatable wellbeing resources for children worldwide.
